 Social Media has long since moved from being a nice-to-have to a must have in any company's marketing arsenal.  Join Duri Al Ajrami as he provides a tour of Social Media strategy best practices against a backdrop of leading Canadian case studies in which he has been personally involved. 

 

A true digital native, Duri started his digital career in 1998. Currently General Manager, Marketing at GiveGet.com, a recently launched social collaboration network.

Before joining GiveGet.com, Duri established and ran the Ogilvy Canada social media division where he planned and executed with his team over 20 highly acclaimed proactive & reactive social media campaigns and grew revenue from 0 to 7 digits in 2 years. One of his highly acclaimed campaigns was TASSIMO which became a case study in Scott Stratten's best selling book: UnMarketing.  

In 2011, Duri planned and executed the Magnum Heir social media contest. This campaign made it to second place on the mashable.com top 10 contests of 2011: http://mashable.com/2012/01/09/online-contests/   Four years ago before moving with his wife and kids to Canada, Duri established and ran Mindshare Interaction in Dubai where he lived for 7 years.

Throughout his digital career Duri worked closely with leading B2C, B2B brands such as: Unilever, Kraft, Motorola, American Express, Samsung, Nestle, IBM, Cisco, HSBC, Coca-Cola, Pepsi.

 Duri is a frequent speaker at key Canadian social media conferences: Blissdom Canada 2010, Marketing to Women conference 2010, Social Media Branding Summit 2011, She's Connected Conference 2011

Join Michael Ianni-Palarchio as he presents strategies and examples of how this social media big data is now being leveraged through the use of business intelligence.  Explore how analysis of customer social media data can lead to valuable insights that drive better business decision-making.


Recently having founded Insegni Centre, an advisory firm focused on IT strategy, Michael has nearly 20 years of Information Technology (IT) and Management Consulting experience. Over the years Michael has focused his career on bridging end user needs with technical solutions. Having worked as an IT Management Consultant as well as holding various IT positions within industry, Michael has been involved in IT initiatives ranging from strategic planning, application architecture, web applications development and infrastructure planning.   

Over the past 12 months, having carried out a number of social media strategies, Michael has begun to provide strategic insight in the area of business intelligence and social media data.
